The Big Ten Tournament is all about toughness and grit. The toughest team of 2008 was the Wisconsin Badgers. The Badgers went through Michigan, Michigan State, and Illinois to claim the title at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapollis, IN.
Marcus Landry added the flair to the first game with two power dunks.
Game two didn't start out well for the Badgers, as Trevon Hughes sustained an ankle injury early that kept him out of the game.
Lucky for the Badgers, Brian Butch had the shooters touch, knocking down two key three-pointers en route to 19 points.

The Republican National Convention was held September 1-4 at the Xcel Center in downtown Saint Paul Minnesota. While delegates from around the nation descended upon the city, protestors from around the nation did as well, prepared for a week of voicing their frustration with the Bush administration. Police forces from around the nation also came to Saint Paul for the purpose of running security and handling the protests, which frequently turned into displays of police force against peaceful protestors and the media.

In the summer of 2008, many areas of the midwest felt the effects of flooding. Rock County was hit hard as the Rock River rose to record levels and subsequently took a long time to recede back to normal. Before it was over, volunteers‹including neighbors, strangers and county jail inmates‹filled more than 260,000 sandbags.
A sign that warns of water on the road in Binghams Point now spells out irony. Binghams Point on Lake Koshkonong near Miltion, Wis. has flooded, and many of the homes are now halfway underwater.
