Adam: I think this is worthy of discussion on the Facebook page as to what should be considered electronically published. Your example is a gray area because it is a publication’s “channel” and not a personal account or blog. The rule could be open to interpretation to allow photo dept. blogs, facebook and twitter feeds.

Samantha: Publish date is what matters, not capture date. In your example, the picture would count for the April contest.

I’m going to assume that electronically published images only refer to those that appear on an outlet’s website proper, yes? For instance, my newspaper’s photo desk has a Twitter account that the staff uses to “tweet” photos. If a photo was merely “tweeted,” or say it only appeared on the newspapers Facebook page but nowhere else, I assume those images are not eligible, correct?

If the photo was taken March 31 but was published April 1, does it qualify for the March clip contest or April’s?
