New officers elected

After two weeks of open, online voting, WNPA’s election season has concluded with two new officers elected to the board, and two officers reelected. Lukas Keapproth of the Green Bay Press-Gazette was elected president and Cory Dellenbach of COLE Publishing (Three Lakes) will serve as vice president. Jim Matthews of the Green Bay Press-Gazette and Michael P. King of the Wisconsin State Journal will continue to serve as treasurer and secretary, respectively.

Voter turnout was 37. All WNPA officers serve one year terms.

The new board’s first order of business will be convening a mid-year meeting to begin implementing plans made during a March 2013 business meeting in Oshkosh. Much of their work will involve mobilizing volunteers to plan a 2014 Convention and set a date by this autumn.
