Comments: General News was the strongest category in the February judging.  Some of the Gen News entries would’ve won in the features category, maybe even in spot news.  Tighter crops would’ve given many good shots even more impact.   Often very nice photos were lost in the midst of uncropped photographs.  Your computerized system of judging made it all very easy on the judges. My cats, of course, would’ve appreciated lots of paper clips being pushed around on a dining room table.
