2010 WNPA POY and Multimedia Results

Gary Porter of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is the 2010 WNPA Photographer of the Year. Porter was also awarded Best of Show. Michael P. King of the Wisconsin State Journal (and previously of the Green Bay Press-Gazette) was awarded 1st Place Portfolio. Sharon Cekada of The Post-Crescent in Appleton won 1st Place Best Multimedia Story.

The 2010 Pictures of the Year contest was judged Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the Center for Photography at Madison by Meg Theno (Chicago Tribune), Michael Kienitz, and Narayan Mahon (Redux).

BEST OF SHOW: Hands are laid on Nicholas Volker, 5, and his family, as the congregation at Damascus Road Church in Madison prays for his recovery and health.
