Photojournalist – Wisconsin State Journal
The Wisconsin State Journal, south-central Wisconsin””s largest print and online news source, is seeking an experienced and energetic photojournalist. The successful candidate will be an exceptional photographer who can tell a story using a variety of media.
You will mainly shoot stills for our daily, weekly and features publications. But you will also be expected to shoot and edit video, gather sound, and file from the field – often all in the same day. Strong sports shooting skills are a must, as you’ll have the opportunity to cover Big Ten football and other university and prep sports.
We’re looking for a confident photojournalist with a can-do attitude who understands how to tell a story with a single photo just as well as with a photo project. You’ll be expected to bring your own ideas for stories, long-term projects and online content.
At least 5 years of full-time daily newspaper experience or equivalent in photojournalism experience is required.
The position will include working some nights and weekends, and driving while on the job.
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
