The APPM conference

Are you a Director of Photography, a photo or multimedia editor? Do you manage visuals in any way at your publication?

The APPM conference in St Louis will be full of great information and ideas for you.

People are getting excited in St. Louis and it’s not just about baseball. The APPM conference will be coming into town Oct. 28 and offer up three days of education and inspiration.

The conference will feature sessions on Community Journalism and Innovation, Increasing Your Value in the Newsroom, The Paperless Office and Inexpensive Multimedia. Jill Geisler, from Poynter, will lead a couple of sessions on management with one of them tailored for visual departments.

Times are tough and we have kept that in mind as your APPM board has worked on this conference. The cost has been cut in half, just $200. We have consolidated the conference into a shorter time span so you can come in on Wednesday and leave Friday afternoon, reducing the number of hotel nights. Travel is reasonable as St. Louis is in the middle of everything.

Roberts Imaging, Canon and Nikon will all be on hand to show their latest equipment and answer your questions.

Need more? We live in an ever increasing online world with Facebook and email, but nothing can replace the chance to be with your peers to share ideas and learn from each other. That is how APPM started and “Couch Time” is always a part of any gathering.

So please join us in St. Louis. It will be worth your investment! Mike
