Ami Vitale

Ami Vitale is an independent journalist based in New Delhi, India. Her photography and stories from events in Europe, The Middle East and Africa have appeared in publications including Time, Newsweek, U.S. News & World Report, BusinessWeek, The Guardian, The Telegraph Sunday Magazine, the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Financial Times, and MSNBC, among others. Ms. Vitale has won numerous awards for her work, including Magazine Photographer of the year, National Press Photographers Association.


 Dai Sugano

Dai Sugano is an Emmy Award winning photojournalist and senior multimedia editor at the San Jose Mercury News. He co-created MercuryNewsPhoto.com whose interactive story telling has been judged among the world’s best two years in a row in the Pictures of the Year International contest.  Sugano covers wide range of assignments which have included: Poverty in India, Hmong refugees’ immigration to the United States; the California Recall; former Japanese Internment camp survivors and number of stories in politics.


Eric Draper

Eric Draper was the White House photographer for the eight-year term of U.S. President George W. Bush between 2000-2008.

Before working in the White House, Draper covered the 1996 and 2000 presidential campaigns, the 2000 summer olympics among other high-profile assignments.

Draper also worked as a staff photographer for the Seattle Times, the Pasadena Star-News and the Albuquerque Tribune.

Lisa Krantz

 Lisa Krantz has been a staff photographer at the San Antonio Express-News since March 2004. Previously she worked at the Naples (FL) Daily

News for five years. Krantz attended Florida State University, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and earned her Master’s degree in photography from Syracuse University.

During her years at the San Antonio Express-News she has had the opportunity to cover stories both near and far including the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the selection of the new Pope in Rome and HIV/AIDS issues in Africa. Most recently she spent close to two years documenting life in the small city of Helotes, TX, as it struggles to maintain its identity in the face of explosive growth.
