Final salute to an old friend

Former Milwaukee Journal and Sentinel photojournalist Lynn Howell died October 21 at the age of 63.

Members of the Wild Life Society honored Howell, one of their own for many years, during the opening weekend of the Wisconsin gun deer season to honor Howell in a ceremony at their deer camp in Florence County.

“Lynn would have loved to be here,” says John Hillery, 66, of Pewaukee.

Hillery’s reference is to Lynn Howell, a Wild Life Society member and former photojournalist from Hartland who died Oct. 21 at age 63.
