Longtime Janesville Gazette photographer Ted Ninman dies at 73

Ted Ninman, longtime photographer for the Janesville Gazette died last Sunday. Here is an obituary that appeared in the Gazette recently:

BELOIT – Ted C. Ninman, 73, of Beloit, WI, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, in his home. He was born on May 21, 1934, in Reedsburg, WI, the son of Max and Dorothy Wiesler Ninman.

Ted graduated from Reedsburg High School. He served with the National Guard and was a volunteer fire-fighter for the Reedsburg Fire Department. Ted married Judy Hansen on Feb. 14, 1963. Ted’s parents used to own the Reedsburg Times Press Newspaper. He was previously employed by the Aspen Times Newspa-per in Aspen, CO, and more recently was the Chief Photographer for the Janesville Gazette where he had been a photographer for many years.

Ted enjoyed fishing, listening to country and jazz music and was a faithful fan of the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. Survivors include his wife, Judy Ninman of Middleton, WI; 2 chil-dren, Todd Ninman of Middleton, WI, and Hilary (Steve) Parker of South Minneapolis, MN; a sister, Nancy Ninman of Madison, WI; sev-eral close friends, including Pat and John Marko of Beloit, WI, and the gang at Hanson’s Tavern.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, in the DALEY-MURPHY-WISCH & ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIUM, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI, with Reverend Gene Van Galder officiat-ing. Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Greenwood Cemetery, Reedsburg, WI. Visitation will be Friday from 12:50 until 1:50 p.m. in the funeral home.
