Bring a quote, share your good advice

When I was busy constructing this year’s WNPA Photographer of the Year image galleries, I ran into this great quote by Ansel Adams, “There are two people in every picture, the photographer, and the viewer.”

I thought it was meaningful because despite the effort, equipment, instinct and luck in making the picture, it’s still up to the viewer to determine exactly what they’re seeing.

This is one of many short-and-sweet observations about our profession. What are some of the good quotes you’ve hung on to?
Also, what is some of the good advice you’ve received that has helped you?
